UX Review · Lindi Wheaton

Find the friction.
Make the next step clear.

UX reviews and audits for websites, portals, SaaS applications, and complex workflows—turning confusing navigation and difficult interactions into a practical improvement plan.

I’m Lindi Wheaton, a senior UX designer based in Dubuque, Iowa. My UX website audit and digital product review services examine how people find information, make decisions, and complete tasks—from a business website to an enterprise portal or SaaS platform.

A fresh perspective

Your website looks good.
Does it work for your users?

An effective digital experience helps people understand, decide, and act.

A website review by a UX designer examines the experience behind the visuals. Can visitors find the right information? Is the next step obvious? Can they complete a form comfortably on a phone or with a keyboard?

My website audit connects those questions to your business goals. For customer portals, internal tools, and SaaS applications, I also evaluate onboarding, dashboards, role-based navigation, and complex workflows—giving your team clear direction before investing in changes.

The data behind the details

Small barriers are remarkably common.

WebAIM’s February 2026 automated study of one million homepages shows why accessibility belongs in a thoughtful UX review.

95.9%

Had detected WCAG failures

At least one automatically detectable accessibility failure appeared on these homepages.

83.9%

Had low-contrast text

Readable content starts with text people can distinguish from its background.

51%

Had missing form labels

Clear labels help people understand what information a field needs.

What I review

From first impression
to completed task.

We agree on the website pages, application screens, user roles, and important tasks first. Your UX audit then focuses on the journeys that matter most, from a sales inquiry to a multi-step enterprise workflow.

01

Navigation & findability

Website menus, portal navigation, search, filters, and information architecture that help visitors and application users locate what they need.

02

Content & visual hierarchy

Headings, readability, website messaging, dashboard layouts, and data hierarchy that make information and the next step easy to understand.

03

Forms & complex workflows

Contact forms, signup, and checkout journeys, plus SaaS onboarding, data entry, approvals, and multi-step workflows. I review validation, error recovery, and confirmation.

04

Mobile & responsive behavior

Touch targets, content order, website layouts, and portal or SaaS interactions across agreed device sizes and key usage contexts.

05

Accessibility & inclusion

Contrast, keyboard access, visible focus, headings, image alternatives, and form labels, guided by WCAG 2.2 AA.

06

Consistency & trust

Website credibility, consistent interface patterns, system feedback, and clear status updates that help users act confidently across pages, portals, and applications.

    Evidence and observations
  3. 03

    Prioritize

Assess user impact, business relevance, and likely effort. Separate observed issues from hypotheses.

    A ranked improvement plan
  4. 04

    Guide

Present annotated findings and recommendations. Define how your team can validate improvements.

    An actionable handoff

Implementation and follow-up validation can be scoped separately. Analytics review depends on available access and data; participant usability testing is an optional addition.

Before we begin

Questions about your UX review and audit.

What can you audit beyond a website?

Alongside UX website audits, I review customer and employee portals, SaaS applications, enterprise dashboards, internal tools, and complex workflows. Your review includes agreed pages or screens, usability and accessibility observations, prioritized recommendations, and a findings walkthrough.

How long does a review take, and what does it cost?

Timing and pricing depend on the number of pages or screens, user roles, workflow complexity, and review depth. Share your website or product, your goals, and the journeys you want reviewed. I’ll recommend a scope and quote before work begins.

Is this the same as an SEO or technical audit?

This service focuses on how people understand and use your website or digital product. A UX audit evaluates navigation, content, interactions, accessibility, and task flows. It can complement dedicated SEO, security, and code audits.

Does the review include usability testing or accessibility certification?

The core review is an expert evaluation. Research with participants can be scoped separately. Accessibility checks identify barriers in the agreed scope; they do not establish full-site or full-application WCAG conformance.

Do I need to redesign my entire website or application?

The findings help determine whether focused website improvements, a clearer portal workflow, or broader application changes are appropriate. Recommendations start with observed user problems and your business or product priorities.
